Bera Pays Tribute to Congressman John Lewis on Sixth Anniversary of His Passing

Congressman Ami Bera pays tribute to his friend and former colleague Congressman John Lewis on the sixth anniversary of his passing. Reflecting on the privilege of serving alongside John Lewis and walking across the Edmund Pettus Bridge with him in 2019, Congressman Bera honors John's courage, his lifelong defense of voting rights, and his call to make “good trouble.” At this moment in time with Donald Trump in the White House, Congressman Bera urges Americans to follow John Lewis’ example by standing up, showing up, and speaking up to protect our democracy and the rights of all Americans.
